A musicians working for musicians company helping artists achieve their musical goals and dreams through songwriting competitions, open mics, gig booking training, website building, workshops (2 years running at the Hillside Festival), CD artwork design, CD Manufacturing, recording and so much more!

Our latest songwriting competition has just been announced and confirmed as The 3rd Annual Fergus Songwriting Competition which will be held at the Brewhouse On The Grand beginning April 5th and running 13 weeks through until the finals on June 28th. Each week a minimum of 4 songwriter's will compete for the top 2 spots that will qualify them for 1 of 2 semi-final nights. From there the top 10 will move forward to the final night in which the top 3 songwriter's will receive the prizes including a grand first place prize of $1500. This will be songwriting competition #10 for us at RJ Entertainment and the events are always an amazing time to see up and coming songwriter's in your local communities. There will be 2 industry judges at the Brewhouse each week that will be selecting the winning songwriter's to move on to each next round. Here are some examples of past industry judges:

- Mark Watson (Manager of The Essentials, David Francey, John Landry, The Dears)
There have also been many others including music award winners, booking agents, bar managers, bar owners and many that are involved in the music industry on a regular basis including your songwriter peers.

How to sign up
It is easy to sign up for the competition. All you have to do is download the PDF entry form below (which contains the competition rules) fill it out and sign it and then scan it in and e-mail it back to us or drop it off in person. There is a $30 entry fee to cover the cost of organizing and running the competition that can paid in a few different ways which is also described below. The fee raises up to $40 as of March 1st and the deadline for entries is March 15, 2012. Once we have your form completely filled out and your confirmed payment of your fee then you are done as simple as that. At that point we will call you and schedule your first performance set time. Our methods of payment are VISA, MASTERCARD CASH or DEBIT by coming by in person to our office by calling and setting up an appointment. You can also phone in with your credit card info. An e-mail money transfer would also be fine for you online bankers and here is that link.
We no longer accept checks or payments through paypal. You will not be signed up officially until we have your payment and your form with your songs filled out that you are entering sent in a PDF format. You may no longer switch songs for each round of the competition. Any previous winners (1st 2nd or 3rd place) from any of the previous 9 competitions are not allowed to enter the competition but are encouraged to judge. Please contact us if you are interested.
