Bio
With the June 2011 release of his first solo album "It's Never Too Late" Robbie Hancock has solidified his place in the Canadian music scene as a singer/songwriter to be reckoned with. Already receiving major and college radio play (AM740, CFRU) the album's excellent production value, lyrical content and strong vocal is winning the hearts of fans nationwide. Just back from a western summer tour to support the album, Robbie's passionate approach to his work flows through to the stage at every show he performs. This is an album that will grow on you, an album worthy of recognition.
From his power pop roots of his first band "The Mighty Fishermen" to the mod glam flash of his second "The Candidates" with the album "Meet the Candidates" (which reached top 50 canadian campus radio), Robbie has paid his dues. With two national tours under his belt and performing over 500 shows in total to date, Robbie has now delivered an Americana sound, which flows across his new album with songs that each have their own life.
Robbie's album release in June 2011 marked two very successful shows at the Registry theatre in Kitchener and with the performing support of accomplished artists such as Bob Egan (Blue Rodeo), David Henman (April Wine) and Bill Mononen (Copper Penny). Robbie also received the recording support of Max Styles (The Kings) contributing his amazingly solid percussive skills to the majority of songs on the album. Platinum recording artists see Robbie's talent and support the album.
Robbie has also just signed a co-publishing deal partnering with Attack Media Group to promote and market the album, which also includes distribution from KI/Interscope/Universal.
Robbie is a very hard working musician and has the drive, determination and perseverance necessary to sustain in today's ever changing music industry. He hopes that he can share his passion for creating his music with the world, one stage at a time.
